Tampere Jazz Happening has found new venues for autumn 2025, when the Tullikamari will be under renovation.
“We will move to Paja Kongressi at Hotel Torni Tampere and on the closing day on Sunday to the Small Auditorium of Tampere Hall. Finnish jazz concerts will continue to be held at Telakka,” says Minnakaisa Kuivalainen, Executive Director of the Tampere Music Festivals.
This year’s festival will take place from 30 October to 2 November 2025 and will be the last festival under the artistic direction of Juhamatti “Kuhna” Kauppinen, who will retire after 2025.
The new venues will be close to Tullikamari, and Telakka will provide continuity amidst change. The programme will be published in September, but regular visitors should make their accommodation reservations now, once the venues are confirmed.
“Tampere is a popular tourist destination all year round and affordable accommodation is not always available if several popular events coincide on the same weekend. Most hotels have a cancellation policy that allows you to cancel your booking even during the week of your stay, if your festival trip is cancelled for one reason or another,” says Katariina Pasuri, PR officer for the Tampere Music Festivals.
